Computer Assisted Design (CAD)

This "hands-on" computer based lab course in Computer Assisted Drafting and Design (CAD) is designed so that each student works at his or her level of competency dealing with Technical, Mechanical, Architectural drafting and related applications. Students will be able to communicate an idea or concept through a series of computer generated drawings. College credit through Century College may be earned by registering and successfully completing specific course requirements.

Prerequisite: None

Learner Outcomes Graduation Standard: Read, View, Listen (Technical Reading)
The student will:

+ exhibit proficiency in expressing ideas through graphic representation
+ apply CAD applications in completing a series of design, product or structural drawings
+ problem solve using computer applications and CAD in relationship with other communications software
+ explore, examine and evaluate career information in the drafting, design and communications and graphic arts areas
