This lab based "hands-on" course has been designed to give students an opportunity to work in several areas in woodworking, cabinet and furniture making.

Prerequisite: None

The student will:

+ learn about different types of wood and various products within the wood industry
+ apply learned skills in the safe use of hand and power tools
+ layout, cut, shape, assemble and finish a "wood" project
+ explore, examine and evaluate career information in construction, engineering, design and the trades
